DIAGNOSIS: Dr Greg Hollstrom
Successful outcome of care with relief of your complaint begins with a thorough examination. This includes physical, orthopedic, neurological and biomechanical tests. While the cause of some problems seem obvious, many underlying conditions are silent until an accident or injury causes symptoms which are the clue to the real problem. We will not guess at the cause of your problem. Diagnosis is quick and convenient with on-site x-ray facilities, which include skeletal x-ray, cinefluroscopy (moving x-ray, and Dexa-scan (bone density). Lab work can be drawn and referrals made for test such as MRI, CT, etc.
TREATMENT: Dr Steve Thompson
Manipulation has been shown in many scientific research studies to be the most cost and outcome effective method of treating back and neck pain and related conditions. It is safe and painless in experienced and skilled hands. Treatment may consist of a combination of manipulation, physical medicine modalities such as electrical stim, ultrasound and traction, as well as rehabilitative exercise, instruction in proper methods of sitting, standing, and working (ergonomics), and ancillaries such as braces and use of ice and heat. We will also teach you how to treat your condition at home.
SPINAL DECOMPRESSION THERAPY: Tom Bender
Flexion and distraction, such as that utilized in spinal decompression therapy, relieves stress on discs and joints by increasing the space between the vertebrae where the spinal nerves exit the spine, thus decreasing pressure on the nerves.. Spinal decompression therapy has kept hundreds of people from surgery for spinal stenosis and disc herniations. In some cases, MRI done after treatment has shown resolution or reduction of the size of the herniations. Increased space for nerves has been shown to reduce or relieve pain due to spinal stenosis and allow the sufferer to walk and return to previously discontinued activities.
Pain Center Rehabilitation Equipment
Rehab is an important tool in returning the patient to their normal activity status after an injury by strengthening injured tissues and reducing the likelihood of reinjury. Rehab is tailored to each individual patient and supervised by specialists. Home exercise instruction is also available as well as consultation on proper use of gym equipment
